India's Structural Steel Exports
India is a major exporter of structural steel sections to construction and infrastructure projects across the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia and South Asia. SAIL's integrated steel plants at Bhilai, Bokaro, Durgapur and Rourkela produce the full range of standard structural sections to IS 808 specifications, while JSW's Vijayanagar and Toranagallu plants supply sections primarily to South and Southeast Asian markets.
Indian structural sections are cost-competitive against UAE, Chinese and European origin for buyers in the Gulf, East Africa, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia due to shorter shipping routes from Indian ports.
Product Range
Angles (ISA) — Equal angles (25x25 to 200x200) and unequal angles for trusses, towers, transmission line structures and agricultural implements.
Channels (ISMC) — Parallel flange channels 75mm to 400mm for column frames, purlins, girts and general structural fabrication.
I-Beams (ISMB) — Standard I-sections 100mm to 600mm for floor beams, crane girders, mezzanine structures and general building frames.
H-Beams / Wide Flange (ISHB, ISWB) — For column applications requiring equal flanges and web depth. Heavy industrial structures, high-rise building columns.
Pre-Fabricated Structural Steel
Beyond standard mill-supplied sections, Zenvico Global can supply pre-fabricated structural steel assemblies — cut, drilled, welded and primer-coated — from Indian structural fabrication workshops that supply to global EPC and construction contractors. This enables delivery of ready-to-erect structural steelwork that reduces on-site labour costs significantly.
Documentation
MTC IS 2062 and IS 808, Chemical and Mechanical Properties Certificate, Certificate of Origin, SGS/BV Weight Certificate (vessel lots), Packing List, Commercial Invoice and Bill of Lading.
