India's Groundnut Export Position
India is the world's second-largest groundnut producer after China, with annual production of 6–7 million metric tonnes. Gujarat's Saurashtra region (Junagadh, Rajkot, Amreli districts) produces the premium Bold variety favoured by European confectionery and snack manufacturers. Andhra Pradesh produces the Java variety widely traded in Southeast Asian food manufacturing.
Indian groundnuts are exported in multiple forms — raw-in-shell for direct consumption, shelled raw kernels for food processing, blanched kernels (skin removed) for peanut butter and confectionery, and oil-roasted or dry-roasted kernels for snack markets.
Aflatoxin — Critical Quality Parameter
Aflatoxin B1 contamination is the primary food safety concern for groundnuts globally. The EU MRL for aflatoxin B1 in groundnuts intended for direct food use is 2 ppb (very strict). Zenvico Global provides NABL-accredited laboratory aflatoxin test certificates with every shipment — testing B1, B2, G1 and G2 total aflatoxin. Segregated low-aflatoxin lots are available for EU buyers requiring maximum 4 ppb total aflatoxin.
Processing Options
Raw shelled kernels (most commonly traded), blanched kernels (skin-off for peanut butter and confectionery), split kernels (natural split halves), roasted kernels (oil-roasted or dry-roasted) and peanut flour (defatted, 50% protein) for food manufacturing.
Documentation
COA (aflatoxin, moisture, purity, pesticide screen), EU aflatoxin test report, Phytosanitary Certificate, Halal Certificate, Certificate of Origin, FSSAI certificate, Commercial Invoice and Bill of Lading.
