India accounts for over 80% of world fenugreek production, with Rajasthan as the dominant growing state. Sirohi, Nagaur and Jalore districts produce the benchmark quality fenugreek seed — large, uniform tan-yellow seeds with characteristic bitter-sweet aroma and high diosgenin content.

Fenugreek has three primary end-use markets: Food — spice blends, curry powders, bread (Middle Eastern and Indian bakery), condiments; Pharmaceutical — diosgenin extraction for steroidal hormone synthesis, anti-diabetic formulations; Nutraceutical — galactomannan fibre for cholesterol management, testosterone-support supplements and lactation support products.

Whole Fenugreek Seeds — Primary export form. Machine-cleaned, sortex-graded for uniform sizing and colour.

Fenugreek Powder — Ground to 60 mesh (standard) or 80 mesh (fine). Used in spice blends and pharmaceutical formulations.

Fenugreek Extract — Available for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical buyers requiring standardised galactomannan (50% or 85%) or diosgenin content.

UAE, Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries are primary food use buyers. Germany, Switzerland, France and USA are primary pharmaceutical and nutraceutical buyers. UK and Canada have significant retail demand from South Asian diaspora.
