India's Coriander Export Position
India produces the majority of the world's coriander (Coriandrum sativum), with Rajasthan (Kota, Baran, Jhalawar districts) and Madhya Pradesh (Mandsaur) as primary growing regions. Rajasthan's 'Eagle' quality coriander is the benchmark for international buyers — larger round seeds, higher volatile oil and consistent bold sizing.
Coriander is used extensively in food manufacturing (curry powders, spice blends, sausages, marinades), beverages (gin botanicals, craft spirits), pharmaceuticals (essential oil extraction) and personal care products.
Grades
Eagle Quality — Large round seeds, bold grade. Best volatile oil content, minimum 0.3%. Premium export grade for EU food manufacturers and pharmaceutical extractors.
Scooter Quality — Standard commercial grade. Competitive pricing for blending and general food manufacturing.
Available Forms
Whole seed (most commonly traded), split coriander (outer husk split — faster flavour release for food processing), and ground coriander powder (60–80 mesh).
Documentation
Spices Board OSCS certificate, COA, EU MRL pesticide test (European buyers), Phytosanitary Certificate, Certificate of Origin, Organic Certificate where applicable, Commercial Invoice and Bill of Lading.
